Yeah. Joanne has it. It has 110K miles on it. Change the oil, lube it, put
tires on every 60K and brakes every 50K and it is gonna live forever. Trouble
is, I go away while she stays home *with* the Land Bruiser. If we go...

Audi All Road reliability by
LIW
I'm looking for a vehicle to replace my 99 S Class Mercedes.
But I want more capabilities, including 4 wheel drive to go to snow country,
comfort for 4-5 adults to tour real estate for my business, and room to put
the dog in the back along with some luggage on weekends out of the area.
I've come...

Passenger side front window by
bill
Hi,
The passenger side front window on my 91 200TQ shattered day before
yesterday. Don't quite know how it happened, got in the car, shut the
driver's door, and BAM, glass all over the passenger seat. Is this
something that a novice can fix? I know with the windshield, there are the
seals and...

Wiper spindle by
Chris
The embarrassment actually come from:
a) only got one wiper on at the moment;
b) funny rattling noise due to a cow boy who don a bogus job on the water
pump;
c) let's face it, my '88 Audi is 16 years very old, and I'm being a bit of a
pikey not to change car, in fact I just cannot afford...

2005 S4 Cab by
Flyboy
I took delivery of my 2005 S4 Cab in Mid-October, had it a month now.
Ordered it early August. It's very nice. I got the 2004 price on mine,
not that it was much difference. I was prepared to pay sticker since it's
a specialty car and it was exactly what I wanted.
2005 I think adds a newer...

Transmission fluid filter question by
LIW
I bought an S8 that has had less than 500 miles put on it in 2004, mostly
sitting on the dealer's lot. It has 22,000 miles total.
I've read that the transmission fluid and filter become a problem on S8 and
A8s. Should it be done now, irrespective of miles, due to the years that
have gone by,...

Preventative Water Pump Replacement on 1.8T Engine? by
Don Borowski
I have a 2001 A4 Avant 1.8T. At 80000 miles, I had the timing belt replaced,
along with the timing belt tensioner (as recommended by the service
technician at the dealership).
I know that at least in the past it was standard practice on some cars where
the timing belt drives the water pump (many...

Newbie question. A4 warning light. by
Moike
I've just bought a '97 A4 1.8 auto, but it didn't come with a handbook,
so I'm having lots of fun sorting out what everything does. I have most
of the sound system working and finally figured out the rear fog lamp.
Yesterday my wife was driving and a warning light started flashing. It
stopped...

Tyre Wear by
Richard Goulding
I have noticed that my front tyres are wearing more on the inside of the
tread than the outside. I don't think it is severe as the tyres have done at
least 22,000 miles and they are still reasonable. I am going to replace them
soon but wonder whether this wear pattern is something to worry about. I...

1970 Suzuki TS250
Hi,
I have several problems with the central locking system and alarm of
this unmodified 1999 Audi A4, which may or may not be related:
1. The central locking system will lock and unlock doors at random.
This can happen when the car is moving, parked, or unattended parked!
2. A problem linked to...

The MAF sensor on my 2000 A6 2.7T through a code about a week ago. My
local shop (who I have used for years and trust - the dealer is 75
miles away and expensive) says that there is a history of MAF problems
with AUDI. While waiting for the part, the malfunction indicator went
