Most reliable SUV by
Peter
What is considered the most reliable SUV out there (AND with decent
handling!)? I have very good experience with Isuzu Trooper (and mediocre
with Dodge), and would consider another Trooper but am unsure how their
diesel engines perform (want turbo diesel this time)...
Also, I hear Toyota...

Caster problem Durango 99 by
Peter
Due to collision damage right front lower ball joint has been pushed back
about 3cm (1 inch), torsion bar is also warped a little bit. As a result my
RF caster is now negative (LF is ok). It looks like LBJ is mounted solid to
the frame and cannot be pushed back without some heavy machinery -...

Isuzu Trooper conversion to LPG by
Peter
I'm considering converting Trooper 98 (3.5L V6 petrol engine) to run on
liquified propane gas (natural gas or whatever it's called). Any
feedback/experience on this - good or bad? I reckon it should pay for itself
in a year at most.
TIA,
Peter

Help please! Tell me your opinion of Opel Frontera! by

I have Frontera 2000 2.2Tdi, and it's a good car. If you thought 2.4i
gasoline is sluggish, you'll probably find 2.2tdi underpowered as well, but
it's enough for me. Especially when the...

brake accelerator pops back as if disengaging yet cruise stays on and in a
sec floors the accelerator again... If I keep the brake pressed itdisengages
completely, but Cruise Set keeps blinking and cruise control wont work...

Don't really know where else to post this...
I'm looking at getting either a RAV-4, Forester, CRV or Grand
Vitara...probably in the 98 to '02 year range. This will mainly be my
wife's car...not expecting much off-road use.
All the threads I've found are from people looking at new models in

problem with glow plugs by
Peter D. Hipson
If that relay is actually the controller it is bad probably. If it is
a relay controlled by the ECM then the ECM is probably bad. Are you
having trouble starting the vehicle with it like it is?

Mid '80s Landcruizers by
Peter Orban
Hi Everyone,
I am considering getting a diesel version with 5-sp manual transmission.
The ones I have seen are up to 200+ Kmiles. Are those cars at the end of
their life? Anything good or bad about those cars?
Thanks, Peter
