Electrical Short in 1979 Type I Cabrio by
datatechnic
Jim, thank you for your very good advice. You saved me from a lot of heartache.
I took out all the bulbs in the #2 fuse circuit, and hooked up the multi-tester to the fuse terminals. When I clicked the headlight switch, the meter was reading voltage, so there was definitely a short somewhere.
As...

72 Super "shimmy" by
Barnhart Pinball
Been working on my daughter's 72 Super - took it up for safety
inspection/license and it passed (plus having it on the lift, got to make
sure all was ok underneath).
On the way home, was slowing down from 60 to 0...around 40-45 the front
started to shake (kinda more than I would like) - but I...

tricky
Hello all.
I have just bought a 72 bay pickup (actually bought and got it home this

I am looking to get improved fuel economy / power / heat - but mainly

Cheers

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice on buying parts in
Mexico. On prior trips there I've seen quite a few 1970's-looking
vans, but they would...

Exhaust in the cabin? by
Michael English
Hi,
My '70 Beetle (new purchase in May) is running well, but I've noticed lately
that even inside, with the heat off and the windows open, that my clothes
smell like exhaust after I drive. At first I thought perhaps the car was
running too rich (maybe??) and I've checked underneath...heater boxes...

as I put a load on the engine, the noise begins
to gain volume.

Anyone know of an online manual with pictures, or, can someone simply tell

Hi all,
Im about to pick up my new golf 4motion this saturday. Its Y plate

And was wondering, does anyone know if it is easy to change the fake
wood dash bits round the radio and central, to something a bit more
tasteful. Such as basic plastic, or even a metallic effect. And if...
