Mazda B2300 steering column

I need to dismantle the upper part of the steering column on my 96 B2300. The part or parts that connect the ignition switch to the key cylinder has broken. I don't know how to get inside the steering column to check/replace parts. Anyone had need to do this, and can advise me?

go to 2carpros.com and ask there. Easier to post diagrams.
