Low RPM Miss
I was driving on the highway yesterday and noticed a miss between 1000
- 2000 RPM. I initially thought I did something stupid like filling up with regular gas by accident - not it. Thought maybe the air cleaner - not it. Oh oh - maybe a trip to Corvette Specialists to get it fixed? Maybe a vacuum leak? Got out the vacuum cleaner hose and put one end on my ear and the other around various parts of the engine compartment. Near #8 cylinder I heard a tick tick tick - looked and saw arcing between the spark plug boot where it connects to the manifold and the manifold. Turned off the engine - pressed the loose boot on tight and it is running like new. What a relief. Bob Drake Alex., VA |
