seat belt question
I am trying to install a 3-pt. EMPI shoulder belts in my '71 Convertible SB. I noticed when I unpacked the belts that there was some slack in the belt coming from the retractor. I foolishly allowed that slack to wind back into the retractor and now I cannot get that slack back out to finish my installation. Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to fix this without tearing everything apart??? I have heard that opening up the retractor can be a nightmare. Thanks.

Make sure you are holding the retractor in a position that would be level in all directions then try to pull the belt out. --Dan E |
