Saturn Messes Up for 11th Time in a Row!!!!

Hello Everyone --

Just thought I'd let you know that my SES light came on again just
152 miles after they fixed the problem according to Saturn Engineering
instructions. They kept the car for three days to do it!!!!!!

One thing is very clear to me: Saturn dealer doesn't know what to do
and gets instructions from Saturn Engineering. Second. Saturn
Engineering has never been to engineering school. Three Saturn
management should learn about how to keep a customer loyal. Their
regional customer service gives me the same spiel everytime I call
them: Sorry Mr. R. We intend to conract the dealer and work with him
on your problem . I want results -- not fiction. I sent a letter to
their president, yesterday. Probably will get no response!!!!

Hey Saturn. How about getting with it. The car is obviously a lemon.
You put out a product that will be illegal in New York State come
April 1 of next year. How do you meet EPA STANDARDS when you design
and manufacture and sell a car that you can't repair. Is it your
political connections?

I for one will never buy another Saturn and GM is out of my vocabulary
as well. Maybe Saturn should design pedal cars for tots. Come to
think of it, they would probably fail as well.

George

Following is a long saga of dealing with P0442 code on a 2000-Saturn
SL2:

Saturn has yet to fix this vehicle with reliability or credibility;
the manufacturer doesn't seem to have the answer, either. Problem
started 2 days after 3-year warranty was up: Last visit, car was in
shop for three days. Car has never been to an outside mechanic.
Notice repeat part replacements on this low mileage car. Come
4/1/2005 this car will not pass inspection in New York State. In
fairness, Saturn has not charged me, but I can't even get another
dealer to take this car as a trade-in.

Any suggestions on what Saturn mechanics failed to do? They claim car
passes pressure tests and smoke tests -- that the car is mechanically
sound -- that there is no leak.

George

questions, and come back again with the same bs plus some more that does

His post is very helpful to someone considering a Saturn.

His post is as helpful and productive as a turd in a frying pan. I dont
care if you buy a honda, toyota, chevy, dodge, ford, or a huffy
bike...They will ALL present problems to someone at some point. Instead
of trolling he should...I dont know...TRY engaging in a "conversation"
to pin down the problem!!!
Instead he does drivebys. He throws crap in here then disappears. I
dont know about you but I dont take advice on what to buy or not to buy
from trolls.

I didn't realize 1. That this group was moderated; that its subject
matter was strictly limited to mechanical problems. 2. That a
requirement for posting is to also answer other people's questions.
The reason I don't answer other people's questions on auto mechanhical
problems, is that I don't have expertise in this area. On the other
hand, I do have an MBA from a good Northeast Business school, and I
offer my business opinion on the lack of ethics of a large Fortune 500
company as to how it applies to the automobile business. This point
of view is just as important as the mechanical side of things.
Otherwise you will continue to have the status quo, and another auto
manufacturer goes mout of business with its resultant effect on loss
of jobs and the economy. BTW, I am not a troll and I am published in
my field. I assume you are published in auto mechanics,

Try a different Saturn Dealer - some have good techs; others don't have a
clue.

You apparently are misunderstanding. You are not expected to help others
with their problems - you are, however, expected to respond to questions
that attempt to help clarify YOUR problem. Otherwise, we must assume
that you don't really want help.

Email to rick will work if you use rickmurphy after the "@" and dot-net
after the murphy. Thanks, spammers, for making such stupidity necessary.

Heh. Ever see that FedEx ad about MBAs, guys? It's darn on the money.

Yeah yeah, put your MBA dick away, go buy the requisite 5 series BMW,
and go to the BMW group and bitch to them about how much their cars
suck...

You're apparently too stupid to read either the Lemon Law, or the EPA
warranty, both of which provide provisions for dealing with this type of
situation (i.e., you're probbably entitled to your money back, or a
replacement car), and apparently, you're too dumb to even try a
different dealer.

Given Saturn sells plenty of cars in NY state, they apparently meet CARB
standards (NY state's emissions are the same as Cali's and have been
since '96).

Given the dealer's replacing 'the computer', it's pretty obvious that
he's lost. He says it pasases the smoke and leak tests? Then why is he
still replacing components? Either the system passes or it doesn't.
And if it's tight, then the trouble is either:

* A sensor
* The cabling to the sensors.

$5 says it's the second.

Heh Blah Blah- or is is BLAB BLAB?

If you love Saturns so much- why don't you either offer to FIX the
guy's friggin car or get off the internet! Quit expeting the guy to
pin down a problem that you're such an "expert" at. You keep blabbing
and unfortunately someone may show you a real "driveby".

You should know Michael Korman/Cohrman. You done more flaming,
trolling, annoying, pestering, blabbing, bitching, ranting,
screaming, screeching, propagandizing, and misrepresenting facts than
anyone else on the entire usenet. You've contributed more hot air to
the usenet than anyone could imagine. I would say it must be that
"time of the month" for you but everyday seems to be that time of the
month for you. Do you have a life outside of being a PMS suffering
usenet troll? Google shows 900+ post with your email in them going
back to Aug 2003. You've been a busy little ****ant troll haven't you?
If anyone was ever at risk of a driveby it would be you. You have the
most incorrect screen name I have ever seen. Unless you are counting
the "fact" that you are a complete imbecile. Someone should take your
computer and smash your ****ing brains out and a lot of people would
love to do just that. You dont deserve to ever be heard from you
festering maggot.
