I got an upholstered love seat, meaning 2-people wide, that was in good
condition and I was carrying it home on the back of my convertible. I
would usually tie something like that on, but didn't plan to get this
thing and it was a new car and I had no rope.

So I'm just going 55 for 20 miles with no problem. Only 5 miles to go.
I'm in the right-hand lane. All of a sudden, a gust of wind came from
the left side and blew the thing off the car. First time in 40 years
this had happened. I pulled over to take the thing off the road and it
wasn't there. I came back 3 days later, parked, and looked down from the
elevated expressway. Not there. Never did find it, not even parts of
it.
