Today 12/22/06 two police officers of the Long Beach police department
where gunned down in cold blood on Long beach Blvd in downtown Long
Beach while they were making a rutine traffic stop next to Wal Mart.

The two police officers never had a chance as they were caught off
gaurd as the suspect suddenly opened fired upon the officers that
pulled him over. He was driving a nissan SUV and there was an Amber
alert out for him earlier today accross all the freeways.

The local police later swarmed in just 5 minutes later and closed off
that whole section of downtown with police tape and road blocks for at
least the rest of the day. The light rail line. "Blue Line" or "Metro
Blue Line" was also shut down as there was a police car parked
peculiarly right on top of the rails next to the passenger boarding
platform for the light rail train. It had it's doors left wide open
with glass and sheet metal riddled with bullet holes. Several
helicopters were seen hovering above the scene of the crime in a vain
attempt to find the suspect.

The two cops were in critical condition in a nearby LB hospital
emergency room. Their families have been notified and it looks like
they are fighters and they are going to survive the attack. The
suspect on the other hand, slipped away...


What a terrible way to start Christmas.
