Just the enforcement you hear about. Go ahead and do it in front of a cop and
see if its enforced or not.

If you have an isolated little area where they aren't enforcing red light
violations, which is something I believe you're mistaken about, then there's
lots of other communities that _are_ enforcing it to make the concept valid.

OTOH, try and find a place where they're enforcing what lane you can drive in.
The Michigan State Police, when there was that trucker strike some 20 years,
ago, said that it was just fine with them that 2 trucks went side-by-side down
the road for hundreds of miles at exactly 55 mph. Keeping right was not only
_not_ enforced, it was even disavowed.

the US (it was repealed up here in 1977 I believe). And even in

As a pedestrian,I once nearly got ran over by a RLrunner with a police car
only 12 feet away,and the officer did nothing. I see patrol cars many times
at lights where RLrunners do their thing,and the cops never went after
them.for this infraction,they seem to need to see the light in the
direction the RL runner is going,and also see that the RLrunner has past
the solid white STOP line,all sorts of excuses to not go after them.

It's happened to me in Massachusetts.Like you,I was cruising in the left
lane,passing everyone else.I was let off with a warning because I was a
serviceman at the time,had my uniforms in the back seat.


You are simply trying to rationalize your wrongful LLBing.
