... Nice ad. Fascinating car. Er, CAR! When I bought my new car 6 months ago that effectively took me "out of the market" but if I weren't you can bet I'd be looking ot one of these. The base price under $30 grand is fascinating too but by the time the car is equipped with all the desirable extras you can bet it'll be closer to $40 grand. I'm curious in these days of > $4.00 gas --- how many people will line up to buy a CAR like this. I might. -- Pat Durkin |

I think we all change as time goes on, and of course the price of gas
hastens the changes. The car I have now is a V8, but I expect that it will be the last one that I buy. Of source when I am in the market again there may be no V8's available anyway. ;-} "Paddy's Pig" > wrote in message ... > "Vint@ge" > wrote in message > ... > > > Nice ad. Fascinating car. I think it's the car Pontiac should have had 5 years ago. Unfortunately,
now it's going to be a race to see whether their cash runs out before or after Christmas and then what happens to GM? While I agree that this is a car that's worthy of consideration I'm not sure I'd risk buying a domestic until I had some assurance that the manufacturer was going to exist 5 years from now. Can you imagine what it would do to resale if GM dropped Pontiac from their line-up?
