Default Antique Brake shoes worth anything? 15-30years old.

I have several pairs of brake shoes that are 15-30 years old (but never
used). Are they worth anything since I don't know which vehicle they fit?
thanks

I don't know if I'd call them "antique" I can get brake shoes for my '66
Fairlane off the shelf at any parts store. Can you narrow it down to which
cars they were likely for and maybe compare them at a parts store when
they're not too busy. If you can ID them, you might unload them on eBay,
but probably not for any kind of big bucks unless it's a really unusual
vehicle that's hard to find parts for.

Not really worth anything if you knew what they fit. Brake shoes from
the last 40 years are pretty much still available from the warehouse
of your average parts store.

There are so many old shoes out there nowadays that the rebuilders
don't even want the cores back anymore. As the gentleman stated above
me here, even shoes for old cars are still available today. Some later
model Fords with rear drums are using shoes that I haven't seen for
awhile but reemerged after years in limbo. Good luck.

I just put brake shoes on my '67 Chevy pickup. The brake shoes were
$12 per set plus $6.50 core charge (NAPA) so that is not true with all
rebuilders....

Better check those babies very 10K for wear, before you
eat the rotors. LOL

It is not my concern how or were you spend your money.
With the loss of asbestos even good lining today do not
last very long. My experience shows that using cheap
linings is false economy. They will not hold up and
in the absence of vigilance one can end up ruining the
rotors or drums. That is why I originally suggested
checking often for wear, if you use cheap linings.
