Rim specs for '84
Can someone help me figure out what the specs on rims for an '84 mean and
what other rims are interchanagable. The specs that I have a 17X9.5 (+38mm, 6.7" backspace) 17X11 (+36.5mm, 7.397 backspace) 5 lug (5X120.64mm) Thanks for any help, Art '84 red/red |

the rims are the same specs for '84-'87. the backspace changes in '88

the rims are the same specs for '84-'87. the backspace changes in '88

First off, you do not have '84 rims from these sizes.
The 17 inch rim was introduced in '89 as a 9.5 inch width. The 11 inch I believe is the rear ZR-1 rim, which while it came out in Dec. '89, was not available to the public until the '90 model. The standard size for '84 to '88 was 16x8.5 and the 16x9.5 was from the Z51 option. The '84 to '87 are the same wheels with paint changes and the '88 is a different design.
