Loose Tensioner
I noticed today during a routine check on my serpentine belt that the
tensioner cover was coming loose, this may be the cause of some "squeeling noise" coming from under the hood. any feedback on how to repair this and what the cost is. It is only loose on one corner and I have tried to "push", "pop" it back on but it was not working. Thanks |

To replace it I had to remove the alternator since the tensioner was bolted to the alternator bracket. It didn't take very long to do the work. I don't remember how much the tensioner cost, but it wasn't much. -- Mike Iglesias Email: University of California, Irvine phone: 949-824-6926 Network & Academic Computing Services FAX: 949-824-2069 |
