Default "Check Gauges" means,..? Yes Sir, Gauges all Checked Sir!

1997 TJ Sahara, 105K miles, Original Owner
Lately the "Check Gauges" lite is coming on very briefly, but
frequently -
maybe more on upshifting. And this means,...???

Not actual Jeep experience, but on a Chevy truck, that light comes on
when one of the gauges(temp, oil press, volt or even fuel)hit one
extreme or the other(too high or too low).

They should have called it the "LOOK AT THE ****ING GAUGES" light I
guess.
