Default How would you store a mildly used electric fuel pump?

For racing pumps they suggest put some oil in and run for 1-2 seconts .then store in a dry place and do that every six months.

Default How would you store a mildly used electric fuel pump?

Would my fuel pump be safe overnight if left out. While I work in my motorcycle???
