Hi:
I just went to get gas and while I did leave not much gas in before I filled, now the car won't start. I know it wasn't heated and it is turning over and I can smell gas. Any ideas? Many thanks |

Many thanks Mileage and transmission type would help some. In rank order: a) Fuel Pump Relay: Do you hear the 2-second hum of the pump cycling when the key is first turned? b) Clogged fuel filter: When is the last time it was changed? c) Other Possibility: when is the last time the plugs and wires were checked/changed? Are you getting a spark? Questions: Did you get _any_ ignition at all? Or did it simply crank with nothing happening other than the cranking? Where do you smell the gas? At the tailpipe or the engine? Is there any gas dripping from anywhere? Peter Wieck Wyncote, PA |
