I picked up a copy of Popular Mechanics on the newsstand today, and in
scanning it,
I read through the automotive questions letters.

On at least three of the questions, I swear that I have seen the identical
posts here on
rec.autos.tech. The PM resident guru gave his answers to these question
that, I believe,
we had all seen and/or responded to before.

Something about this looks funny...Has anyone else picked up this copy and
noted the
strange similarity of questions??????

Obviously, this newsgroup and the auto-questions column will receive
very similar questions. Heck, the answers might even be close (for
obvious reasons). However, if the questions and answers are almost
vertabim, I'd suspect a culling of the newsgroup.

That is exactly what it looks like to me. Maybe not illegal nor unethical,
but suspicious.
Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed the similarities.

Get a life loser, you seriously need to find something better to do
with your time. How about you post something useful for a change
instead of following me around.

I figure my stuff is no less useful than your stuff........

"Gee, I'll have to look at the new PM......."

AND, I don't recommend useless things such as the S-10 rear axle "fix" or
the Sable power steering "fix".

You're the loser with the loser web site that has to be SPAMMED at every
opportunity...

Merry Christmas!!!!

I haven't seen you post anything of any value yet........

Your "fixes" have proven to be either wrong or totally unrelated....

......and it is s-o-o-o transparent that you only post to get your website's
addy up there......

SPAMMERS are SCAMMERS......................

Was this meant for the readership of r.a.t. in general, or was it
directed at a specific poster?
