Default 99 XJ T-case swap?

Your shift pattern is now different so the plate on the floor hump will
not allow this shifter to move in it's new pattern?

Default 99 XJ T-case swap?

Your console likage might not be compatable with the new transfer case,
look at that first. But if that is OK, sounds like the linkage is not
adjusted properly. this would be pretty normal after a transfer case
swap.Unhook both shift rods, set the shift lever so you can stick an
1/8" drill through the alignment hole just below the pivot point. (This
locks both arms in the correct spot) Adjust the shift rods to match.

Default 99 XJ T-case swap?

That definitely helps. Thanks Roy, now I have a good place to start looking.
The shift plate... I will take up the console while I am at it and look into
this as well.
I am done messing around, I just want the friggin thing to work right.
Other than that if anyone is thinking of the swap, look into an SYE before
you do it. Since you have it out and everything is generally gonna go back.
