Question on cigarette lighter on 98 Explorer
A friend of mine has a 98 Explorer that the cigarette lighter has come
loose from the back of the center console. They'd like to use it to plug in a cell phone charger, but can't because anything you can do to put it up to the original space now won't fit, and there's nothing there to attach the housing of the lighter to the back of the console. Anyone know of how to put this in short of epoxying it to the console? There's gotta be a better way. I believe it happened when the original radio was replaced by the folks who did the installation, they perhaps put some pressure on the lighter assembly and broke off whatever part was holding it on (plastic). Any help appreciated. |
