before. My purpose in writing here is to get a better idea what the
people who support this site believe, and to better understand the WN
mindset. If some of this comes off as over-academic, I apologize in
advance.
First, a quick word on background so you know where I'm coming from. I
have to tell you, I'm going to be brutally honest here. I'm going to
turn off the self-censor and the editor in my head and just tell you how
it is.
I was raised in eastern Los Angeles County and attended public school
there through high school graduation. To the extent my home had
politics, it was liberal Democratic. I am a first generation American,
both my parents being fully legal immigrants. My high school was
overwhelmingly white, though the demographics of my neighborhood began
to tilt sharply to Mexican when I was around 13 years old or so. When I
was around 16, I became very politically active on the Left.
I attended college at UC Berkeley, by this time a radical leftist.
During my time there, I lived in Berkeley, San Francisco, Oakland and
Albany and worked in San Francisco and Emeryville. It was at this time
that race first became an issue in my life. As a good liberal/leftist, I
believed strongly in equality and civil rights. But, soon, my day-to-day
experience began to wear my beliefs down to the bone. Night after night
after night I saw the same police responding to the same sad and
completely unecessary fights, domestic distrubances, gang wars. At work,
even though I worked in an upscale neighborhood, I was subjected to
outright race hatred, even by very successful black accountants, lawyers
and doctors.
Two events from my college days stand out. First, during one Friday
evening a riot broke out on Telegraph Ave that I could view from safety
from my nearby studio apartment window. I watched in horror as roving
packs of young black men demolished everything in sight and set upon
innocent white people walking down the streets. The Berkeley PD did
nothing but set up at the end of the street and watched. Second, a
young white female student went missing. As she had last been seen at a
frat party fighting with her white football player boyfriend, we in the
campus Left organized marches and protests against campus violence
against women. One day, in class, I watched two young white guys reading
the school paper's coverage of our protest activities and they began
laughing at how stupid we were and that how the crime was probably
committed by some black guys. I went red with rage. I accussed the guys
of racism and pointed out she was last seen with her white boyfriend.
Two days later, her tortured and raped body was found by the Berkeley
Marina. Whoever did it left a ton of evidence behind, including the van
in which the poor girl was assaulted.
The next day two Black men from Oakland were arrested for the crime.
They actually looked into the news cameras and *bragged* about it.
After graduation, I returned to LA. My hometown was by this point
majority Mexican. Once nice walls were now plastered with grafitti. A
once quite LA County Sheriff's sub-station was now overrun with work,
chasing down gang activity. And, as I walked by my elementary school one
morning as the buses were unloading their charges for the morning's
studies, I watched as Mexican face after Mexican face got off the bus,
most speaking in Spanish. From that point on, I noticed: there were
never any white faces in the school buses anymore.
Years have gone by since those days. In my current job, I've literally
lived all around the world. And it's the same story wherever you look:
where our White anglo-saxon and common law heritage is upheld, the
people live in freedome and happiness; where that tradition never took
hold or was unknown, the people live in hopeless poverty and despair.
And, in our anglo nations, a misguided majority has decided to atone for
past "sins" by tearing apart the fabric that is most important.
I look around at our current state and I despair. We seem to have
forgotten who we are, what we value and what it means to build a
successful society. I don't know what is going to happen, but I do know
that these past decades have seen a painful (and I do mean that:
painful) tearing away of my most cherished beliefs. Where once I
believed that all men were equal, now in my heart of hearts I don't
believe that. Where once I believed that all religions should be freely
and openly practiced, I no longer believe that. Where once I believed
that liberal democracy, one-man/one-vote was the highest political
order, I don't believe that anymore either.
And, like all people, I am searching. Am I the only one who sees this,
who feels this way?
In my searching, I came across this website. I've read a lot and looked
around, and I think that it is obvious there are some good people here
who are sincere. But there are also a lot of people who just sound like
conspiracy theory cranks. And a good number in-between.
I understand WN to mean that we want self-determination and our own
country for our people, for European-Americans, broadly defined. That I
understand. That I can respect. Here is what I don't understand, let me
know what you think:
-- The Jews. The hatred and centrality of the Jews in some of the
discourse here is over the line obsessive and irrational. 2% of the
population, no matter how prominently placed, just cannot control all
that is purported to them. If the enemy is capitalism, then the Jews are
the capitalists. But, at the same time, if the enemy is communism, the
Jews are then the communists. Jews are said to have total influence over
our government's policies, yet the Saudi ambassador has a rolodex and
power in Washington the Israeli ambassador would kill to have. Jews are
parasites who destroy host cultures, yet at the same time when they've
formed their own homeland they are then condemned for wanting to live
apart, as a people. Is that not what we want?
I accept that Jews are different. I've known enough and worked with
enough of them to know that they have different values and ideals. So
what? How does that make them any different from Asians or Muslims?
-- Islam Love. This is connected to the Jewish issue. It is interesting
to me the split in the view in this community on Muslims. Over on the
European boards, where WNs are living side-by-side with the Muslims, the
WNs see the enemy that is Islam very clearly. Here, on the American
side, where we have yet to see the kind of assertive Islamism the
Europeans live with, the National Socialist fantasies about allying with
fellow Jew-haters blinds people to the reality: the West has been at war
with Islam since the very beginning. You think the jihadis won't behead
you because you don't like the Jews too? You're just another infidel to
convert or enslave. These people behead our soldiers and some of the
people here cheer on the jihadis?
-- Sectarianism. It's like Life of Brian in here. This guy supports the
People's Front of Judea while the other guy is in the Judean People's
Front and they both agree that the other guy who supports the Popular
Judean Front is an asshole. C'mon. There has got to be a common,
bottom-line that WNs can agree to or else it's just a mirrored vision of
the hard Left and just as ineffective.
-- Nostalgia. This is a killer. Does anyone honestly think the KKK is
going to make a comeback? Or Nazis? In America? Stop kidding yourselves.
People understand "we are Europeans and we have a glorious culture we
need to protect." People do not undersand "hoo-ray for the people who
scare black families and we're all for the guys your grandpa fought in
WWII." That's just plain dumb. I seriously do not understand this.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.
