Default Suspension for a '99 B5 1.8T

Hey all,

I need to replace my suspension. I want something that's going to keep
the ride as stock as possible.

Is anyone familiar with KYB?

I really would appreciate any feedback/advice on this!

Thanks,

KC

VW shocks aren't unreasonably priced, why not stick with OEM? - How many
KM's do you have, I did my Golf's suspension with less then 100K Kms on the
car - shocks were not gone, but the ride was a little too soft, too much
brake dive for my likeing.

I've got Koni's on my Golf, but they are more money then the VW sport
suspension, but do they ever make the car more stable on the highway (they
are adjustable for firmness... I have the fronts too firm for the arterial
roads I drive on, so the car is a little rough to drive around town, but get
it on the highway and its beautifull...)

In comparison with another brand of car's OEM shocks, the VW parts weren't
any more money then the parts we just bought for our Volvo - rears were a
lot cheaper on the VW tho, due to the fact that our Volvo has load leveling
"Nivomat" shocks - but standard shocks are about the same price (we tow, so
we kept the load levelling).
