Default AR 156 brakelights (stoplights) problem

Dear all!
When I push brake pedal, a yellow bulb indicator is turning on (saying
somethings wrong with bulbs).
The third brakelight (stoplight, as I do not know the exact term in British
and/or American English) is turning on, but the main left and right
brakelights are off.
I've checked fuses and bulbs - all ok!

What's wrong?
Thanks!

G

Replace the bulbs..... may sound stupid when you've checked and they
look OK, but 99% of the time that's the problem. Oh, of course, I've
never spent hours tracing wiring only to discover it was a ****ed
bulb.....

Other than that, try cleaning the contacts in the rear clusters.

Most lighting fault detectors work by measuring the resistance of the bulbs
in the circuit. Loose or corroded connectors will produce high resistance.
Often this can be enough to trigger the fault warning even though the bulb
is working.

Thanks guys, it were bulbs!!!
They looked ok, but when measured by ohmmeter - FAULTY!
Damn, are they supposed to go to hell every 3-4 months?

Bye!
