Need help from you english-speaking folks....

This is an off-topic, but kinda close to VW topics..
ALPINE, car audio band, how do you pronouce it? the "PINE" section,
is like "Pine" (the tree), or like "Pin" (like cushion pin)?

I'ts an year old dought beteen my and some friends... If any of you
folks could help me... Thanks!

I say pine (the tree)...Additionally, I never heard it pronounced any
other way..( grew up in NJ and now live in PA)

in the UK I have only ever heard it like the tree PINE .
