As I posted earlier, I came home in a rainstorm the other day and only a
third of ALL the cars I met
on the highway had activated any lights at all. They were all but invisible
in the rain and haze. I passed
no one, because I slowed to 55-60 mph in the rain, turned my low beam
headlights on.

We have a passel of ignorant and inconsiderate drivers here. Accident
rate and death from accident
are relatively high here. People just don't focus when they drive, speeds
are excessive for some of
the road conditions. No drivers ed anymore...ignorant parents now teach
their ignorance to their children.

For all that agree, make your voices heard at the NHTSA's public docket.

http://dms.dot.gov , click "Comment/Submission". You needn't register
(it's optional). When prompted, enter docket 4124 and as much or as little
contact information as you wish. Select "Enter a comment" if you wish to
type your comment into a text box, or "Attach a file" if you've already
got it prepped in MS Word, Excel, PDF, etc.

Once you've submitted your comment, GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN with docket
8885. Very important to enter your comments in BOTH dockets.

I'd also place the comment in docket 17243 as well.
