Default GTR Evolution contains all of Race07 ?

If I understand correctly, GTR Evo. is built on top of Race07. If you
have Race07, you just need the GTR Evo part. There is also a version of
GTR Evo. that includes Race07 for those that don't have it.

So my question is, does the combined product give you all of Race07 or
just the "base" needed to run GTR Evo on? Example: amazon has Race07
for $18.49 and Evo for $19.99. If the Evo pack contains all of Race07,
why would anyone buy Race07? The same pricing is what is confusing me
and the reason for this post.

Thanks in advance.

just guessing, but based on previous releases from simbin, ie gtr2
came with gt legends complete; you will probabally get race07 complete
with gtr evo. amazon will sell anything to anyone willing to buy it so
i don't think their order page is indicitive of what the products
contents are

GTR Evolution is an add-on to Race07. You need Race07 to be able to play
GTR Evo. The version of GRTR Evo that says it includes Race07 has the
complete Race07 game included. On Steam they are also selling just the GTR
Evo add-on seperately and that is for people who already own Race07. Thing
is that Steam is charging just as much for GTR Evo add-on as amazon.copm is
selling the complete GTR Evo game for which is a big rip off. The reason
amazon.com shows Race07 seperately for almost the same cost is because it
is old stock and they need to dump it on some noob customer who doesn't
know you can get full GTR Evo with full Race07 included for almost the same
price.

They shouldn't but retailers are hoping there are enough uninformed
customers to deplete the remaining copies of Race07.

Better wording would be "GTR Evolution COMES AS an add-on to Race
07". It can't be both ways. If the retail title GTR Evolution does
in fact include Race 07, then the retail add-on package would be
named something else.

I was hoping to know by either today or tomorrow, but apparently the
thing has taken several days before it even shipped out from
GoGamer. Ended up buying Richard Burns Rally from Amazon instead of
eBay, but I have no tracking information for that one. I guess
that's the result of cheap shipping.

Yes, looks like the retail version is an expansion (including the
original, Race 07) sold as a separate product.

There is no mention of Race 07 on the packaging or on the CD.
There are no installation options for Race 07 in setup.
During installation, some documentation says:
"Together with the content on Race 07..."

I'm installing it now, says about 3.8 GB for the off-line version.
It also includes an online version with Steam. I'm familiar with the
Steam controversy, so I will wait and maybe install it later. I'd
rather play off-line for a while anyway. I've never seen Race 07,
but if there is anything else that is recognizable and worth
mentioning, I'll follow-up.

Got Richard Burns Rally at the same time today.
I hope it's not arcadish.

Good luck and have fun.
