Studebaker Avanti ?
http://www.theavanti.com/chronology/ChronologyPage.jpg says the four door
was first shown at the New York Automobile Show in 1989. "S.rathbern" > wrote in message ... > While wandering around the net I ran across a picture of a Studebaker > Avanti with 4 doors, it was labeled as Avanti Touring sedan. > Anyone know, was this a production, or a customized version ? |

Studebaker Avanti ?
In 1990 a 4d sedan was added to the range. Unfortunately I don't have good
pictures but here's what I've got. I've also included an Amanti history in Word format. max "S.rathbern" > wrote in message ... > While wandering around the net I ran across a picture of a Studebaker > Avanti with 4 doors, it was labeled as Avanti Touring sedan. > Anyone know, was this a production, or a customized version ? |

If I'm not mistaken, the 1966 or 1967 model year was their last. If you have a picture of a 1989 Avanti, it isn't one made by Studebaker. Jack |

Studebaker Avanti ?
Correct. The rights to build the Avanti were purchase from Studebaker in
1964 before they left the automobile industry, and a successor to that firm (http://www.avantimotors.com/) is still in operation in Mexico. See http://www.theavanti.com/services_chronology.htm for more of their convoluted history. Studebaker Avanti ?
production, but not by Studebaker, after it was bought by others.
