Yep, we're pretty far out in the boonies.
Had some idiot neighbors who brought in a bunch of dogs and turned
them loose in the woods to fend for themselves. It's been a real
nightmare
to deal with. After they learned to survive they started cross
breeding
with coyotes and a few with wolves. Those cross breeds are fearless
and
big. The wolf dogs show up every so often. I thought I had all
those taken
care of awhile ago but they're back. If you go into the woods hunting
those
dogs, the wolf dogs are hunting you and they are much better hunters
then
me. My wife has had to save my butt several times from the wolf dogs.

Had visitors for a few days and nights this past week. The guy is
someone
to be feared and when he heard all those dogs working themselves up
into
a frenzy he got a little nervous but he stuck it out with rifle in
hand. He said
he would rather hunt men again rather then hunt those dogs. Couldn't
have
said it better myself.

Our livestock guard dogs have been over run so bad that 1 of them just
didn't want to guard anymore. She decided right then and there that
she
wanted to become a house dog and she always hated being inside a
building.
So we got her 3 more guard dogs to help her out.

you don't really have to be out in the boonies to have problems... but you
gotta get a bit further than a few blocks from main street.... i'm only
about 7 miles from the city limits(and 4 miles of that is in the county area
that is fairly well populated by both homes and businesses) and we have
coyotes-a-plenty that are causing problems...

I'd say if she's that handy to have around, overlooking her hiding your test

We're only 14 miles out but it's a long 14 miles. Not many neighbors
around us. I don't worry to much about the normal wildlife like the
coyotes, thats what we have great pyreneese dogs for and they do a
good job. It's those damned wild dogs that get to me.

We had to change lots of fencing over to electric & barbed wire. 10
strands
with every other wire hot and the others ground. And I had to get
the hottest
electric fence chargers I could find. 1 for each field. But they do
give me
some pleasure when I hear a wild dog try those fences in the middle of
the
night.

Even my parents said she was to good for me.

She's a real good shot. She had never even picked up a gun until a
couple years ago. Damned if she wasn't a natural with a gun. I
haven't
quite figured out how she does it but she doesn't miss very often.
