GTVs are a lot of fun and the 2.0TS sounds so much more better than in other variants with the more sporting exhaust (though they cost £500 to replace). Rear bushes can be prone to need replacing in the 2.0s. Surprisingly good at cruising on motorways and dual carriageways too. Right now I don't see the Brera as a GTV replacement, more of a 159 coupe. The GTVs still look great IMHO. Cheers Tony |

The GTVs still look great IMHO. It's just a little *too* far away to have a look, really, which is a shame, 'cos it would be fun blatting about in that for a while. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark Lusso - Fiat Marea 20v HLX - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

However, one of the reasons I'm looking around is that I want something more grown up than the Marea. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark Lusso - Fiat Marea 20v HLX - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

Everyone knows that if you can afford the insurance on > a GTV you have to be well old :-) Heh. You haven't seen the insurance rates on a Marea 20v. I managed to get a cheap deal in the end through the Fiat owners club, but most people wanted 3 times what Katie pays on the 156, ffs! I would worry that the GTV is more of the same, though. The Marea is a cracking 'hot hatch' type car, but it's a bit too harsh and manic for my 80 miles / day. I spend the whole journey driving like a cnut. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark Lusso - Fiat Marea 20v HLX - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |
