91 YJ with TF999 auto. Want to put a cooler on it. Which side of the
radiator is the "in" side for the transmision lines. Does the fluid flow
through the radiator then the cooler?

If memory serves, the output line comes from the front connection
on the TF999 tranny. Not sure where it goes into the rad or if
having the cooler before or after is better. :/

Hi Bob,
The nomenclature should be AW-4 (Asian Warner) as Daimler parted out
Jeep to the Japanese. Germany, was well on their way to destroying the Jeep
that won the war against their fascism.

(California) were we need auxiliary coolers on our recreational vehicles,
it's put in before the radiator, so as to not over heater the engine, and
keep the transmission at operating temperature.

Then don't pull a trailer through the mountains of California, in the

Which side to put the cooler will depend on where you live. Here in the
North where winter temperatures range down to -25F having it after the
radiator will over cool the trans fluid. In the South after is better.

Correction.
The AW-4: http://www.stu-offroad.com/engine/aw-4/aw4-1.jpg is not the
same as the 1956 TorqueFlite 999:

As I have thought. The lines come off the driver' side, the return is at the
front: http://www.billhughes.com/temp/91yjCoolerLines.jpg

Comment: Sure took you long enough to make the correction. I wonder why...?

Translation: I'm trying to cover my ass here with really long links.

Comment: If you were paying attention in the first place instead of
yammering on about your fellow fascists, you probably wouldn't have
stepped in it again.
