If you want the best of a sports car and an SUV in ONE vehicle the
Cayenne Turbo S is about the best there is, IMHO, of course. As I told
Kate, the best is rarely inexpensive. As for five times the "new car
smell" I can't argue with that logic.

As for worrying about a Cayenne being stolen, here is a list of the ten
most stolen cars in the USA:

1. Toyota Camry
2. Honda Accord
3. Honda Civic
4. Oldsmobile Cutlass
5. Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee
6. Chevrolet Full-Size C/K pickup
7. Toyota Corolla
8. Ford Taurus
9. Chevrolet Caprice
10. Ford F150 pickup

You Toyota Camry owners had better be packin' a hand cannon for your
trips to the grocery.

Not to mention, it ruins the departure angle...

That list pretty much follows the list of top 10 car models sold too, or at
least half of them anyway...

If every Cayenne Turbo S ever sold, were stolen, they still wouldn't break
in to the top 100 list of the most stolen cars in the USA:

- You could not pay me to drive something with that profile that fast

- It IS an abomination, a waste, and it's hideous, to me

- Porschephiles make me want to vomit, which is a nice segue into this:

- Every time I see one, I am reminded of the snippet of the Bobby Brown
reality show I walked on. Whitney's bowels were impacted, and Bobby
explained to the cameras that it was an expression of (and I quote)
"black love" to stick his hand up her ass, and manually remove the
problematic feces. What does this have to do with the Cayenne? They
own one, and her vulgar, haggard, drugged-out constipated ass sits in
its seats. Ugh.

Porsche should pay that foul couple to go soil another vehicle. I am
forever horrified, and the Cayenne is forever equated with that mental
picture. I see one, and immediately think "black love". Gew.

Chew on that if you can. If not, just throw up. I just almost did, again.

Disclaimer - this has nothing in particular to do with black people. It
has to do with those particular two black people.

What the hell does any of this have to do with a Mustang? Oh, right,
that thing out of Greek mythology Kate posted a link to.

Shame on you, Katie, you are filling this place with all kids of awful!

;^)

I know Michael, that's what you're telling yourself about the GT500...

A more meaningful number would be listing the top ten cars stolen based
on a percentage of their population. I would bet most luxury cars are
lower on that list than the ones listed above.

....and, just because something is not a Mustang or a Ford for that
matter doesn't mean we can't admire, respect and lust after it. As with
most Porsches, IMO, the real beauty of the Cayenne lies under the skin
and not the skin itself.

Well in the case of the GT500 when the price reaches a certain level it
is no longer the best. I was disappointed to read that Ford is not
putting the twin screw blower on them and instead look to be opting for
an Eaton/Roots. I hope the people writing the articles don't know what
they are talking about and it really is a twin screw like the one on the
Ford GT. It might be one of the moves Ford made to keep the car
affordable. Either way I still want one, if the price is reasonable
(say less than $55k for a convertible). Plus, I'm sure Kenne Bell will
be making a kit for them rather quickly.
