In Maryland they will take a report on just about everything but catching
who did is the real trick, where is Creskin when you need him?

Yes, I agree but what is one to do? Here in the USA we have our share of
dirt bags and our liberal criminal justice system runs hot and cold which
flavor of criminal is in the favor of the bleeding hearts.

It is doubtful they will catch them and my insurance company will only pay
what the OEM lamps would cost because they were an aftermarket add on so I
did not file a claim to add insult to injury.

Insurance companies are in business to make money, if make a claim,
they will just jack your premiums by that amount. Save them for when you
need their attorneys to defend you against frivolous suits.

This is an inappropriate slam for this NG. The common norm here indeed is
to top post. There is no way that Dave would have known that you would take
offense to the norm. Please refer to the thread above: "Speaking of Top
Posting" for the group's consensus.

Additionally, I agree with your take on this <grin>.

Hrd did pass the time by typing:

However, if you file the back edges down to a rough knife like edge you
can always claim it must have been like that when you bought the vehicle.

Knife edge plastic comes standard on the 93 ZJ. And I've got the cuts
to prove it.

HID (eous) lamps have come down that far in price? Driving a vehicle
in the NYC area with HID's is just asking to be driving home with a
flashlight tied to your hood.

Actually making them easier to remove is a good thing. Less
collateral damage. More typically the vehicle owner is looking
at several thousand dollars worth of body work...since the
perps want the lamps and frankly could not care less how much
damage happens to the rest of the car in getting them off
quickly.
