High Pitched Whistle Under Load?
I've not really looked into this one but just wondered if anyone has come
across this before? Accord 2.2 vTec auto, when accelerating under load a high pitched whistle is noticable from the engine area at precisely 2000 - 2300 rpm, both below and above this engine speed the noise is not there. Also, it only seems to hapen under load, when accelerating on a downward slope, the noise doesn't occur. Any ideas before I have to get my hands dirty?? Cheers |

High Pitched Whistle Under Load?
A whining in the Honda Element was discussed in the EOC [Element Owners
Club] online...similar circumstances to your situation...I believe it was the power steering fluid circulation, or loose hose, etc. |

Slip the air filter out and take it for a short spin. Be sure to wipe the inside of the air box SPOTLESS before you restart it. You'll know right away if you've found something. 'Curly' |

I'll report any of my findings here, don't worry... |
