Default which bmw wheels to suit 97 e36 M3

I'm considering buying a set of wheels to use for the track so I can fit
track tyres to them. There are a set infront of me which the seller claims
will suit the M3 but I'm not convinced as he said they also suit the 5
series (don't know which 5 ser). Anyway he gave me some numbers: 1182300 and
CDW and IS 20 printed on the rim also their size is 17x8. The M3 offset is
41mm and came with 7.5x17 (f) and 8.5x17 (r). Can anyone please tell me if
they will fit.
Very much appreciate it.
Hany.

Don't forget that if you're looking for handling, you're looking for light
wheels. Don't buy on looks alone. Sorry can't help with your size question.

They look very average, but i don't mind. Just need a set for track use
instead of refitting tyres everytime i go and then fitting road ones again.

I would say no et20 will not fit. Check the offset yourself, all you need is
a straight edge and a tape measure.

I think the offset is 20mm and if they won't fit I'll give these ones a
miss. The owner measured them and said they are 132mm from the inside edge
to the hub surface which by my calculation gives them an offset of 30mm i
think (17X8in). Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks
Hany.
