You're welcome, Tony. You'll get the é when you press the "Alt" button
in combination with the number 130. André ;-) On Sat, 26 Sep 2009 07:46:07 -0400, Roadsign > wrote: >On 25 Sep 2009 22:03:11 GMT, (André Ritzinger) >wrote: > >What a tremendous set of pictures Andre! The only problem is, it still doesn't work. Maybe I need to change the font or type of text before it will work. I'll figure it out........ I think. ;-) Tony |

In Windows I just permanently set my keyboard to US International (but don't
change the language, just the keyboard) and then I have access to all of the main accents just by hitting various keys. For the é it's apostrophe followed by e. In that keyboard the apostrophe is a dead key if it's followed by a vowel that can take an acute accent but functions normally otherwise. It's very easy to use. And to make a ç, I just hit apostrophe followed by c. If I don't want the French accents in those contexts I hit the space bar and that makes it work normally. I haven't figured out how to do all of this in Mac yet. :-(( Max "Roadsign" > wrote in message ... > On Sun, 27 Sep 2009 23:46:08 +0200, André Ritzinger > > wrote: > >>You're welcome, Tony. No luck there Leroy, but thanks for the suggestion. |

Control Panel? I'll solve this thing.... really. It is the little things that drive a guy nuts. I TOLD YOU! I got it! é I have to use the numeric keypad instead of the number keys! éé OK, that problem is solved! Now I get to go fill in at the office I work for. I get to answer the phone all day and take messages. The temperature is dropping today too. Has been in the high 70s but today is predicted to be in the low 60s. Thanks Max, Tony |
