not have any plate numbers to go by. I know the color of the car and
the type and make and it was a lady my brother said but I did not see
it happen. I just do not know what to do now. Any help would Very
helpful.

Check your insurance. If you have comprehensive, it should be covered by
insurance WITHOUT impacting your insurance rates. If you go that route,
you will need to report it to the local police.

want to report to the insurance they are bad at me already for filing
a 2700 dollar calm when I rear ended on of my friends last winter. And
I do not have comprehensive on my insurance. My insurance is high
already because I am only 19 I need to pay $220 a month for insurance.

Don't move to Canada!

I pay approx. half that, and I'm getting just under 50% discounts for a
44-year near-perfect driving record (one accident in 1966, not my fault,
either), disability, and a few others on a 6-year-old Intrepid R/T.

Comp is cheap, covers theft, fire, wind, deer, vandalism, cracked
windshields, and a bunch of other things. And collecting against it is
not considered a chargeable claim.

Compressive DOES NOT cover any damage caused by another vehicle even
if it is parked. That is covered by collision. Comp is for acts of
god, fire, vandalism and theft.

What's Canada have to do with it? Canada doesn't share the same insurance
system across the country.
I pay $100 a month for my YJ and my Grand Cherokee combined. Goes to $160 a
month when I also plate my Corvette.
On just the YJ, it's $550 a year for me.

I don't want him to move to Colorado either. He might run into one of my
cars. That accident in 1972 wasn't my fault either, even though I had the
only moving vehicle involved. They shouldn't have parked there. Seriously,
hit and run is a crime, and should be reported to the police.

Cheers,

Earle

I want to report it to the police. But all I know they are going to
say. Is that can not do anything because I do not know the plate
number. I Just do not want to waste my time. Thanks Jamie

Are you making so much an hour that a quick 30 minutes of your day is to
costly to report someone that has committed a criminal offense? Police
don't need plate numbers to make arrests or file a report. I'd report it
just for the chance that the person that commited the hit and run would be
caught, even a slim chance.
