By 1 5/16" do you mean "Not sure" ?

The link you provided was for an 83 CJ, and apparently the nut sizes
have gotten smaller through the years..

It turns out the upper nut is 7/8" and the bottom looks to be
something like a 29mm or Standard equivalent? I have to go buy one
today. Thanks anyway.

On the upper nut I used a 7/8" and the lower was a 28mm.

... At the time I didn't realize a 22mm is only .009" smaller than a
7/8" and the 7/8" was what I happened to grab first. I imagine that
two bolts holding on the same steering knuckle would HAVE to be either
both metric or both english, but like I said, I didn't try the 22mm.

And, what a PITA, I couldn't find a 28mm socket anywhere, I had to buy
a $40 set of larger metric sizes, since on the shelf of individual
sockets, it went right from 27mm to 29mm. No 28mm. I apparently need
to stop buying craftsman.

Thanks,
-Dave
