In a perfect world yeah that would work.. mebbe...
But that assumes that some dickwad entered the correct data. GIGO is rampant. FWIW a warantee / guarantee card should have the receipt stapled to it when the paperwork is passed to the customer. Customer.. taking the unheard of action of accepting some responsibility for themself puts the paperwork in the glovebox... -- Jafo '02 GT Black Not eggzackly stock. Everybody these days expects things to be "as easy and convenient as
possible". Noticed how noob-ish the web is becoming? I'm a professional web-developer & all of my work that visitors see absolutely has to be ungodly easy to use.... and for a reason, if it isn't so easy that a newborn monkey could use it .......then it won't be used as often! People take responsibility for themselves? Shyeah right =). -Mike -- Melt away the Cellulite with Cellulean! http://www.MeltAwayCellulite.com/ "Jafo" > wrote in message .. . > In a perfect world yeah that would work.. mebbe... > But that assumes that some dickwad entered the correct data. The service manager about **** a cow. Guess it didn't need > a another new front-end after all. Had a similar thing happen on an exhaust system on a truck of mine. I replaced the entire carbureted engine with a complete fuel injected engine and fuel system etcetera. I drove the truck With just the new Y pipe on it back to the muffler chain that had originally installed the complete exhaust system with LIFE TIME muffler. I asked them to "rehang" the exhaust system and attach it to the Y pipe from the new EFI system. They agreed to do it for $40. I said OK do it. The Monkey who was doing the work started his hard sell for replacing the muffler, because it was bad. I said it was fine just put it back on. He insisted, I relented and said fine put a new one on, it has your life time warranty anyway! He was so ****ed he threw the old one (LARGE TRUCK muffler) across the shop three bays away... He ended up replacing all the "3 inch pipe, rather then cutting and pasting the thing back together. I removed the original life time warranty exhaust system, and thanks to this Monkey's greed, got a whole new life time warranty exhaust system for $40. :-) |

Oh yeah! The point & click generation.
I can't get over (well I can cuz I'm not affected) how they sell computers the same way they sell toasters.. take it home and plug it in is all you have to do. Then the users wail and moan when the puter won't work because they did something they shouldn't have done.. because they didn't know any better.... It all started with paper I think. -- Jafo '02 GT Black Not eggzackly stock. > wrote in message m... > Everybody these days expects things to be "as easy and convenient as > possible".
