GPL and Vista
Hi,
I'm wondering what the trick is to get GPL to work under Vista? I bought a new PC and Vista was installed on it. The GPL program runs OK but when I get to the driving screen directx will only show the top quarter and opengl has these horrible virtical lines. I installed it using the GPLPS installer which may not have been designed with Vista in mind perhaps? I tried the resolution DLL changer but it doesn't help much. Thanks, Mike. |

Make sure your initialisation values in your core.ini are "stock" (see the readme from the original renderers) and set directmirrorrendering to zero, that'll fix the D3D. It's not a Vista thing, just a general problem with DX10 cards. Jan. =--- |

See the thread down below about GPL issues with Directx and OPengGL? That thread has your fix. It is not a Vista issue, it is a renderer issue that can be fixed. |

I found the nvidia fix for the opengl issue although I was still having trouble getting my native resolution to work. I managed to find the new rasterizers at the bcsims site and now it works like a charm. I downloaded the most recent pribluda version, applied the pribluda patch, and it's all working at 1680x1050 resolution. Thanks everyone, Mike. |
