Default Options for braking system 67 beetle

As a bid of a foreward, I am helping a friend repair his 67 sedan. We
replaced the master cylinder after I got some used spacers for the
bolts from mario, and then we hooked up all the hydraulics. I had
decided previously that we should replace the blue sections of the
lines running to the master cylinder(they looked BAD..cracked etc)
from the reservior. Talk about a PITA, got that all worked out, poured
in some brake fluid in preparation to bleed the system...brake fluid
begins leaking out of the reservoir.

Now apparently 67 beetles were the only year beetle to use a dual
fitting reservoir mounted behind the spare tire. 66 and earlier used
one line, and from what I've been told it's quite a bit smaller than
the line used for the 67. 68 on up has it mounted high in the fender
well area.

What are my options for fixing this? I would imagine every used 67
reservoir is going to be in equally-crappy shape in terms of brittle
plastic. How do I go about fixing this new problem?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do I need to send out a bottle also? I have a few in very good condition.

I either installed a dual reservoir by the left inner fender for my 66 Type 1
when I upgraded the master to a dual or I used the original reservoir with a
tee to feed my master. Just can't remember way back then!

later,

On my '60 ragtop I just drilled two holes large enough for the linesa nd
mounted the dual reservoir in the same location as the stock reservoir.
