In the meantime I've learned that this was not only inevitable but that
indeed it had been done before.

I guess there are no safe spots left on earth.

A good few years ago, in the 1970s or 1980s IIRC, Epsom, UK, based
automatic transmission specialist installed a Rolls-Royce Merlin WW II
aero engine in a car which may have started life as a Ford Capri, and
mounted a Rolls-Royce radiator shell and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot on it.
He called the car "The Beast." Rolls-Royce's legal department got wind
of the car, and successfully sought an injunction prohibiting him form
using these trade marks on the car. I can't help feeling this little
creation deserves the same treatment.
