Default Car conversion notes, addendum

In my last note I mentioned a phasing in over ten
years of new environmentally friendly cars and I
did not mean they would be begun to be sold in ten
years but that within ten years say over 90% of the
cars on the road would be such but that the conversion
of old/recent cars to be more environmentally
friendly. But environmentally friendly cars can
be sold right away. One way to ensure that, as I
have said before, is to factor the projected environmental
and health damages costs into the cost of a new car,
so maybe put a government surcharge on a gas guzzler
and a rebate on a hybrid car, coupled with car companies
increasing production of such so that the cost per
unit drops, and with government and corporations
providing needed infrstructure. With all that
such a car would be cheaper than a gas guzzler.
Henry Ford would have come up with something new
by now, he would be aghast at the lack of progress
I think.

Now of course, at for oil companies, well oil is
black gold and is chemicaly valuable for much more
than burning and I will work of more ideas in
that area. It could even be used to make synthetic
food in a pinch.

(Also Lake View is in a valley, coming from St. John's
along the Conception Bay Highway you enter it by
descending a steep winding hill with a view of
Third Pond. The Irish Descendants recorded Rattling
Bog or perhaps it is Rattlin' Bog ._)
