Default '73 Bug (regular) How to get to Master Cylinder?

Hi, please help.
I have to replace the rusted-out tubing, but
how to get to the brake master cylinder?
There seem to be walls all around it.

You have to remove the fuel tank to get to it - here's a good article:

Wide open access from the wheel well, and from the top too once you
remove the gas tank.
