The Tracloc is a clutch-based limited slip differential.

Jerry-
I think I'll pass on the trac-loc and get a lockright. How hard is a lockright to install? Hi Carl,
It could be: http://www.billhughes.com/temp/Limslip2.jpg But I wouldn't trust anything sold over EBay. It doesn't take much to bend even a Real carrier like a Ford nine inch. is it a bad idea to buy a used locker? I may be able to get a used detroit
for $50, which is considerably cheaper than a new lockright at $230. Carl "L.W. I've never been lucky. I can see there it might a perfectly good in
someone's gear change. But more than likely it was separated because the ring exploded. It will show up when you blue it in. The one I'm looking at is in an apparently good rear end with 4.10 gears.
It's located far away so I told him I just want the locker. You're probably right -you usually are- .. I think I'll just shell out the $$ for a new one. Is a locker difficult to install? Carl "L.W. Hi Carl,
The Lock Right locker from Powertrax will slip right in place of your spiders, but it's not very strong. The Detroit will take a bunch of precise tools and a junk drawer full of shims to bring her in, may be better to let a professional take responsibility for it: http://www.differentials.com/install.html http://www.billhughes.com/dana35c/TJDana35.pdf God Bless America, Bill O|||||||O http://www.billhughes.com/ Carl wrote: > > The one I'm looking at is in an apparently good rear end with 4.10 gears. > It's located far away so I told him I just want the locker.
