Parked car for 9 weeks -

I have a 01 BMW 325i 4dr . I parked my car for 9 weeks as I was on
extended vacation. Was not started once in this period..

Now im back and the car starts fine and all, but not in the first try.
By default it wont start in the first try in the mornings. In Vermont
the temprature dips to -10 or so and its damn cold! I dont recall
having this problem before...

Also the CD player skips a bit when I hit a rough surface on the road
or a bump.

Are these because the battery has not charged fully? What can i do to
eliminate these problems?

In the winter time, the battery takes a beating, well, in the hot
summertime also. What I do is periodically put a charger on the
battery because I do too many short trips with all the electrical
loads on ( lights, heater blower, etc etc ). I just put an
_automatic_ charger on it, so it goes into standby/trickle when full
charge is reached, and doesn't overcharge the battery.

I do this once every couple of weeks, or if I'm expecting -20F, I'll
hook up the charger before I go to bed, and let it work the battery
electrolyte overnight.

So you probably bought gasoline maybe 10 weeks ago, which was
mid-September. The gasoline remaining in the tank is blended for
summer/autumn weather conditions, not extreme cold winter conditions. The
problem will probably go away when you next fill the tank.

CD players do that.

If you do that again, buy a solar battery charger that plugs into the cig
lighter, and lay the panel on the dash. Face the car south if possible.

You got a cheap CD player. The better ones stream the data off the
CD into a memory buffer, then when the CD gets jarred and the stream
is interrupted, the speakers are fed from the buffer. I'm sure your local
car radio place can set you up with something decent.
