Passat upgrade

I have a 99 Passat 1.8T, I understand this comes with a K03 turbo
charger @ 150hp. Can I upgrade this to a K03 sport turbo @ 180hp?
Is there more involved than just changing the turbo, do I need to swap
anything else at the same time?

Most people I know with the 1.8T motor acheived good results by just
chipping their cars... It's cheaper then a turbo, and many places know how
and are willing to do it for you.

you upgrade to a k04 turbo,you should also chip the ecu and add larger
exhaust..some upgrades also include injectors..those items will get you up
to anout 225 horse with significant torque increases as well..
