What a very odd idea. I can't find any explanation as to why H J
Mulliner chose to build this car, which they termed a Saloon with
division, with a reverse-raked windscreen. Its first owner was Alan
Butler, chairman of De Havilland Aircraft; perhaps the windscreen was
his idea?

It was later owned by General Montgomery, and was used by both him and
Lord Gort during WW II.

The chassis number, incidentally, is 3AX79
