Default Two clutch questions

1. On the car I'm driving now, because the clutch pedal is not far
enough to the left, I have to keep my thighs uncomfortably squeezed
together. Any ideas how to "move" it left? Perhaps expanding the
surface of the pedal to the left?

2. Is it normal for a new clutch to give a burning smell?

What model car? I don't understand why you need to keep your thighs
pressed together. You only need to press the clutch pedal
occasionally, and mostly not at the same time you are using the brake.
I think you need to work on your technique.

No, new clutches should not smell....are you an inexperienced driver
of manual transmissions?

It feels too tight even when one foot is on the gas and the other on
the clutch pedals.
