Yes it was a rare find. Now that the Franklin museum has moved out of Tucson and
back to New York there will be even less of these to see. In the past year of the Orphan Carshow, there have been several different Franklins up from Tucson. This one was not an Arizon find and the owners were not from Tucson all adding to the rareity of finding such an old one. (Renault looking front end caught my eye and I had to go down a couple of aisles to see what the heck it was.) Oops, this message should have been on the Franklin not the 300-F.
As to the 300-F, Patraig, the 300-F's are seen quite a bit in this part of the country. The rare part is the Petty ownership. The rare part is the Petty ownership. The rare part to me is not the Petty ownership. It is the fact that there were two 4-speeds built at this is one of them. Not only that but it has the great Chrysler wire wheels. Terrific car. -- Paddy's Pig |
